My sweet Coconut

June 2nd we had to put my pretty little princess down.  I have had Coconut since I was 13 years old.  She was my little angel.  I call her my angel because she was always there for me.  Through every boyfriend, every break up, every apartment, condo, and now our house.  She has been there for all the good times and bad times in my life.  It was literally the hardest thing I have ever done.  I have lost great grandparents, and grandparents, but this didn't even compare.  She was the most perfect cat.  She slept with me every night, followed me around the house all day, took naps with me, and grew to love Clayton.
Coco started getting sick about a year ago.  We had tons of tests done and she had the beginning signs of kidney disease and she had problems with her calcium in her liver.  She was on a special diet and had to go in every few months to get steroid shots and fluids.   Out of the blue the last week in May she started to get really weak and couldn't get up on the bed anymore and wouldn't eat or drink.  It got to the point where she literally was dragging herself to the water bowl and couldn't hold her head up to drink.  That's when I knew it was time.  Long story short, I took her in and she passed away very peacefully.
I don't envy anyone who loses a pet.  You don't really realize how much a part of your everyday life they become.  I miss her very much, and she will not be forgotten.

Anyways, I am not a sappy person, so sorry for this long, depressing post.  It's funny because all my friends write sappy stuff about their husbands and family members and I do about my cat.

Okay, that's all.
